Are you looking for some of the best fall crockpot recipes to try?

Crockpot meals are the best, especially on brisk cool evenings when you want something comforting that will warm you up, plus not having to spend all day preparing.

All you need is just a few ingredients and a little prep time and you’ll have a tasty, hearty meal ready for when you get home.

So whether you’re in the mood for stew, soups or a type of chili, we’ve highlighted a variety of crockpot recipes for you to try in your kitchen.

With you being able to set and forget, you’ll have time to focus on other things around the house you need to do.

Or if you have to work, well you just eliminated one extra chore to tackle when you get home.

Basic Tips For These Fall Crockpot Recipes

Before we get into it, I wanted to highlight just a few basic tips when it comes to using a crockpot for these meals.

Believe it or not there have been times where I have put too much in a crockpot and it didn’t really cook evenly, messing up a perfectly good meal.

I’ve also overflowed a pot before too, thinking that all things were created equal. Just dumb on my part lol.

So I know that this is a bit basic but very easy to forget sometimes when we’re just going through the motions of things.

Choose the Right Recipes

It’s really important to choose recipes that are great for slow cooking. For example, you don’t wanna slow cook a hamburger…

Like why would you do that. Haha just kidding, that was a bad example but you never want to choose a food that doesn’t really need to be slow cooked.

You’ll want to look for recipes that require a longer cook time and use ingredients that can really stand the heat for prolonged periods without being dried out or burned.

Keep it Simple

The best things about cooking in a crockpot is that it’s simple and requires very minimal effort.

So you really don’t need to worry about having the fanciest of kitchenware. All you need to do is chop up some stuff and throw them in the pot.

Follow the Recipe

Obvious right? If it’s your first time, you’ll want to make sure to follow the recipe as close as you can.

This will help you to determine that this was either a good or bad recipe.

However, we kinda gave you a shortcut to this process anyway since we’ve highlighted some of the best (over 4 stars) crockpot recipes below anyway.

But doing following the recipe as is would also help to make sure your meal turns out perfectly especially if you’re new to using a crockpot or you rarely cook using this method.

Use the Right Size Crockpot

Ah man, like I mentioned above, in our early slow cooking days, I’ve definitely overflowed some stuff a few times lol..

So please make sure you’re using the right size crockpot for your recipe.

If it’s too small, your food won’t cook evenly. And if it’s too big, the food may end up drying out.

As a general rule, having a 4 to 6-quart crockpot is perfect for most recipes.

Plan Ahead

Since crockpot meals require some planning ahead, you’ll want to make sure you have everything prepped ahead of time.

I usually have things prepped the night before so when I wake up in the morning, I just throw everything in, turn it on and I’m all set.

So you can either use a timer or programmable crockpot for this.

The crockpot that I use actually is bluetooth and has an app that I can control directly from my phone.

But whichever you choose should work just fine.

Clean Up is Easy

This is one of my favorite things about cooking in a crockpot. Cleanup is super simple.

You just need to wash one pot.

Or if you use one of those crockpot inserts, you can just remove that and boom, cleanup is done!

Ok so now that we got that out the way, let’s dive into some of these tasty recipes!
